From the raw materials to the ability to shape each piece from craftsmanship to the most advanced technologies, passing from the aesthetic value of detail to the advantages of comfort and performance of exclusive Equiline patents. Equiline views its saddle as a real “integrated system” or a functional combination that connects horse, saddle and rider.  The optimum interaction of these three elements can ensure the wellbeing of the horse. Variations in each horse’s muscles require that the saddles adapt differently to each one, and for this reason, Equiline offers varied panel options; either standard or customizable. All the Equiline panels (T-flex panels, Wool panels, Techno Air panels), regardless of the material used, have the dual objective of the optimal balance of the saddle on the horse’s back and the correct balance and contact for the rider.

Saddle fitting should not be considered an exact science. From the moment the saddle is created and throughout its lifespan, the fitting must be supported by in-depth observations of the anatomy of the individual horse and the characteristics of the individual rider. These two factors combined with knowledge about the saddle in question, will result in an ideal solution, a “saddle for two”. Equiline recommends frequent monitoring of the fit of your saddle. Dependent upon saddle use, the development of your horse’s musculature and the type of panels used for your saddle. A regular fitting is important to safeguard the health of your horse and to maintain optimal performance.

TREE WITH RETICULAR MODULAR INJECTION SYSTEM- Coreshield Technology

The EQUILINE saddle trees have been designed and built in close collaboration with a Technology and Materials Research Centre, that is renowned for working with well-known companies in various technical sports sectors for many years. The close collaboration between saddle technicians and laboratory technicians, together with the valuable advice of our riding ambassadors, has resulted in the continuous evolution and improvement of our tree. Specifically the Coreshield technology we have todays offers:

WOOL PANELS

Equiline panels in high-quality synthetic wool, are soft and elastic, flocked by expert hands in order to ensure the wool inside is smooth and uniform. During use, the saddle with wool panels will quickly adapt fully to the horse's back. thus creating a personalized fit. Maintenance of this type of panel must be performed by a qualified fitter. When the panels need to be modified, a qualified fitter can remove, add and/or adjust the wool inside to make them good as new.

ADVANTAGES OF PADDED PANELS WITH SYNTHETIC WOOL:

  • Saddles with synthetic wool panels follow the growth of the horse over the years. Following the development of the musculature, the panels can be adapted to its anatomical needs
  • A saddle with synthetic wool panels is highly customizable, thus can be personalized to perfectly fit the back the each individual horse
  • The panels filled with synthetic wool are more suitable for horses that have anatomical differentiations or “particularly-shaped” backs

T-FLEX (FOAM) PANELS

Equiline T-Flex (Foam) Panels are created with the injection of a special Memory-Flex material. The polyurethane foam injected is soft and reactive, guaranteeing homogeneity both in terms of the shape and consistency. This allows the rider to keep a stable and comfortable position. These panels are designed to return to the original shape after each use, as they adapt to the horse's back and muscles with each ride, minimizing pressure points as much as possible with the benefit of excellent blood circulation.

ADVANTAGES OF FOAM-FILLED PANELS (T-FLEX):

  • Perfect symmetry of the T-Flex padding
  • The T-Flex padding is particularly suitable for those who use a single saddle with several horses, as long as the morphological characteristics are similar- because this type of panels, due to the memory the material, returns to the original shape after each use
  • The T-Flex padding is resilient and capable of absorbing the energy from a shock that might otherwise cause elastic deformation
  • T-Flex panels result in excellent contact with the horse, plus stability and comfort for the rider
  • T-Flex panels do not require any specific maintenance and have a longer life span than other types of panels

TECHNO AIR PANELS

The Techno Air Panel was designed by combining the benefits of the Wool and T-Flex Panels into a single product. Techno Air panels are designed for riders who prefer the versatility of a flocked panel, but do not want to lose the benefits of T-Flex panels. The air gap created by the layer of Techno Air fabric assures the integrity of the form and the homogeneity of the padding. The Shock Absorber Plus (ACS3) construction system significantly increases the stability of the saddle on the horse's back, absorbing the energy of shocks, preventing negative pressure points and discomfort.
